FIFA, AFC delegation to visit Pakistan

KARACHI: An eight-member FIFA and AFC delegation will arrive in Lahore on Thursday (today) to review the organisational development of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), PFF said on Wednesday.

The delegation comprises two AFC and six FIFA representatives who will review the Youth Development Programme which has been stopped by the PFF.

The federation will also seek their advice on how this programme could be carried out and what changes should be brought to make it more productive for the country.

They will also examine the administrative, club and league structures, communication wing and infrastructure and give their advice about all these areas.

The eight goal projects which the world football governing body (FIFA) has allotted to Pakistan will also come under discussion.

According to the press release issued here by PFF, The President had urged the international body to review the organization to improve and critically evaluate PFF performance. The visit is an honor for Pakistan and in the coming year it would pave the way for further development of the football in a professional way. Due to the continued efforts of President PFF, FIFA has initiated various development projects in Pakistan to improve for the development through different courses.

This has become possible mainly due to the very close, positive and productive relationship between the President PFF Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat and the high profile officials of FIFA. Pakistan is amongst few those countries which are being visited by a delegation of FIFA of this strength and value.
