KARACHI: Karachi’s Diya Women FC were off to a fine start when they beat Vehari United 2-0 in their match of the 8th National Women Football Championship 2012 at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad on Saturday, 29 Sept 2012.
International striker Hajra Khan fired both the goals for the winners in 3rd and 50th minutes.
Balochistan crushed FATA 5-0 in their Group D game. Saima hit two goals, while Rozina, Sadia and Rahima joined her on the score sheet with one goal apiece.
WAPDA beat Balochistan United 1-0 with Sakina scoring the lone goal in the 10th minute.
Punjab defeated TCS WFC 2-1. Rabia Saeed gave TCS the lead before Bushra Malik struck twice to help Punjab secure the victory.
