KESC enter RLCA Ramazan Cup quarters

KARACHI: Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) qualified for the quarter-finals after beating District Football Association (DFA) West 1-0 in their final Group D match of the 1st RLCA All Pakistan Ramazan ul Mubarak Floodlight Football tournament held here at the RLCA Ground in Korangi on Sunday night.

After a thrilling affair which saw both the teams offering tough resistance to each others’ attacks, KESC finally scored the winner in the last minute through Sohail Ishaq who made it on a minus pass from Abdul Salam.

Earlier, in the first half, both sides had squandered several chances. Despite the loss DFA West also made it to the last-eight with three points.

DFA Malir, the third team in the group, crashed out of the race as they bagged only a single point after a surprising 2-2 draw with KESC and a 4-1 loss to DFA West.
