GSA D-Goal continues on

On Tuesday 8th August, two more fixtures were decided in the GSA D Goal Ramadan Tournament. Now 15 teams have completed the passage to the next round and round of 16 will kick off now.

1- Khan Sports 3 – 3 Did FC (Khan Sports win 3-2 on penalties)

Star Performer – Mehmood (Khan Sports) – The Maymar Sports forward shows his shooting capabilities are adapt to the smaller version of the game as well.

The game started off as a one sided contest. Wahaj scored and Usman scored twice to give Did FC a 3-0 lead at half time. Captain A. Rehman’s plan was played to perfection. The half time talk between the Khan Sports players fired up the team and they started to turn the screws after the half. With about ten minutes left and Did FC thinking the match is all but finished a substitution changed the fortunes of the game dramatically. Jamil and Mehmood scored for Khan Sports and Masoud drew level deep into the game stunning the crowd and Did FC. Penalties decided to favor the brave and Khan Sports makes it way into the next round.

2- Sixteen Stars 2 – 6 Old Fighters

Star Performers – Rashid and Waqar (Old Fighters) – Its easy playing when Faisal Madni is pulling the strings and the two forwards took full advantage. 3 goals each.

The second game of the night witnessed a great performance from Old Fighters. Madni produced quality dribbling and passing to make the job easy for its forwards. Waqar and Rashid both scored before the half to make the score 5-0 at HT. Second half saw some physical play from Sixteen Stars and they scored twice but a late Rashid strike all but sealed the fate for Sixteen Stars. A convincing performance from Old Fighters who will look to top the semi final appearance of the 5th GSA D goal tournament.
