Ex-footballer gets donation from Sindh Sports Minister

KARACHI: Sindh Sports Minister Dr Mohammad Ali Shah on Wednesday gave a cheque of Rs100,000 to former international footballer Mohammad Ali who cannot walk and speak because of paralysis.

The minister handed over the cheque to the ailing footballer at his office.

Talking to reporters Dr Shah said that he was really hurt when he heard about the condition of the former international footballer who rendered meritorious services for the country.

He said that due to shortage of funds he was not able to give the player more money. But he was quick to add that he would try his best to give him Rs100,000 more in two to three weeks.

Ali’s son Noushad Ali was also present on the occasion and thanked the minister for helping his father. Sindh Assembly member Nusrat Sahar Abbasi was also present on the occasion.
