KARACHI: District Football Association (DFA) West inflicted a crushing 4-1 defeat on DFA Malir in their Group D match of the 1st RLCA All Pakistan Ramazan football tournament here at the RLCA Ground in Korangi on Thursday, 2 Aug 2012.
Following aggressive rallies, DFA East went ahead in the 4th minute when Nouman Mirza scored a fine goal before they doubled their lead through Mohammad Mufeed in the 19th minute.
At half time, they were leading 2-0. Soon after the start of the second half Salim Baloch reduced DFA Malir’s deficit with an excellent field effort in 55th minute.
But this did not stop DFA West from playing aggressive game as they added two more through Zubair Ahmad (75′) and Asif Khan (90′) to seal a comfortable victory.
Salim Moosa supervised the match while Abdul Rauf and Salimullah were the line judges. Habibullah acted as the fourth official while Riaz Ahmad served as match commissioner.
Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) were scheduled to face DFA Malir in their opening match on Friday night, 3 Aug 2012.
