KARACHI: A late strike from Mohammad Hussain helped District Football Association (DFA) hold Pakistan Steel to a 2-2 draw in their Group C match of the 1st RLCA All Pakistan Ramazan-ul-Mubarak Floodlight Football tournament here at the RLCA Ground on Wednesday night, 1 Aug 2012.
Mohammad Maqbool provided Pakistan Steel the lead in the 28th minute with a pile-driver. But hardly two minutes later, DFA Central brought an equaliser through their main forward Mohammad Hussain.
Pakistan Steel, who also played in the Pakistan Premier League a few years back until relegation, once again put themselves ahead when Mohammad Maqbool hit his second goal through a fine field effort. At half time, Pakistan Steel were leading 2-1.
The second half remained tense and at one stage it looked that Pakistan Steel would easily maintain their lead but all their hopes were dashed when Mohammad Hussain struck a fine goal for DFA Central, his second of the match, to bring parity which remained till full time.
