The Mushtaq Memorial Football Academy stunned home side Baloch Mujahid Football Academy in the other semi-final 4-3 on penalties to reach final of the 2nd Karachi United U14 Youth Football League 2012. They will now face KUFF North Nazimabad Centre on 15 July to decide the winners.
The game at Baloch Mujahid Stadium in Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi had finished 0-0 at end of normal time as both sides wasted numerous chances to score past the alert goalkeepers. In the shoot-out, Mushtaq Memorial Academy’s Shoaib, Jalil, Munawar Hasan, and Waqar scored from the spot with Munir Munna missing his kick.
Baloch Mujahid Academy’s Shahbaz, Aafaq, and Ali Ahmed scored but Khaleeq and Meher Ali missed from the spot allowing Mushtaq Memorial Academy to win the tie. Referees were Babar Khan, Sabir Baloch, M Kamran, and match commissioner Muhammad Shehzad (Pakistan Navy).
The final between Mushtaq Memorial Academy and KUFF North Nazimabad Centre will be played on 15 July 2012 at Karachi United North Nazimabad Centre (Paposh) at 5 PM. The winning side will win Rs 15,000 prize while runners-up will get Rs 10,000. Individual prizes for best individual performances, and honourary prizes for all 10 participating sides will be handed out.
