DFRA Central host Sindh FA vice president

On 28 June 2012, the District Football Referees Association (DFRA) Central, Karachi hosted a gathering where Sindh FA vice president and DFA Hyderabad president Muhammad Azam Khan was invited as guest at a local hotel. The event also featured the top officials of DFA Central, as well as Karachi United Football Foundation (KUFF) administrator and media manager Riaz Ahmed.

DFRA Central secretary Muhammad Shamim presented his newly released refereeing booklet to help assist local referees in administering the game better.

Azam Khan praised the performance of DFRA Central affiliated referees and the leadership shown by secretary Muhammad Shamim in ensuring DFRA Central remained a united, cohesive entity that was proactive in its approach to ensure refereeing quality and fairness. He also praised M Shamim’s initiative to publish an important booklet for budding referees and hoped that other DFRAs can take notice of his tremendous hard work and commitment to football.

DFA Central vice president and ex-international Saleem Patni praised Azam Khan for keeping Sindh FA as a cohestive and organised unit and hoped the hard work will bring in tremendous success for football across Sindh. He pointed out Sindh FA’s good effort in organising an hosting the District Activities Football Seminar in accordance with Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) in Hyderabad that won tremendous praise from PFF as well.

Azam Khan also thanked DFRA & DFA Central for hosting the occasion in his honour and vowed the complete support of the Sindh FA and DFA Hyderabad.

Riaz Ahmed also expressed KUFF’s desire to hold a football tournament in Hyderabad and Thatta and Azam Khan’s support, to which the SFA vice-president and DFA Hyderabad supremo whole heartedly agreed to promote. Azam Khan thanked KUFF for showing willingness to boost football’s profile across Sindh as well and vowed full support from Sindh FA on behalf of its president Syed Khadim Ali Shah.
