KARACHI: Mongolia’s Erchim FC and Chinese Taipei’s Taiwan Power Company FC will land in Lahore on Sunday (tomorrow) to feature in the AFC President’s Cup Group A matches to be held at the Punjab Stadium from May 8-12.
“Erchim FC and Taiwan Power Company will arrive in Lahore on Sunday,” PFF Director Development and Competitions Pervez Saeed Mir told ‘The News’ on Friday.
“All the arrangements have been completed. The venue has been renovated and particularly more effort has been made to make the pitch soft and grassy and I think the viewers will feel a difference,” Mir said.
Hosts Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) are the third team which will take part in the event. Top two teams from the group will make it to the final round. Bangladesh League winners Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi were the fourth team to participate in the competition, but they backed out citing security concerns.
