Baloch Youth (Garden) leap to top of the 9th Karachi Football League 2011-12 Super League phase table with a thumping 6-0 win over FC Rovers (Malir Cantt) yesterday, 10 April 2012, at Korangi Baloch Stadium in Sharafi, Karachi.
After absorbing early Rovers pressure, Baloch Youth started scoring goals galore after 9 minutes when Rashid Ali headed in a Noman Mirza ball to make it 1-0. Rovers tried to respond through Zeeshan Tara and Arif Shehzad but failed to beat Baloch Youth goalkeeper Bilal. Talal Ayub then made it 2-0 for Baloch Youth when scored from a Salam Uddin pass 4 minutes before half time.
In 2nd half, Baloch Youth utterly destroyed FC Rovers as further goals from Talal Ayub (66′ and 77′) saw him complete his hat-trick, while Saramad Jafar (68′), Mahir Ali (72′) also helped Baloch Youth record an emphatic 6-0 win over a sub-par Rovers performance. Referees were M Umar, Babar Khan, Amjad Baloch, and match commissioner H.M.Hanif.
The win helped Baloch Youth rise to top of the KFL Super League table with 8 points from 5 games while FC Rovers remain on 4 points from 4 games.
