Azam Sports (Drigh Road) edged past Dilbod Mohammadan (Malir) 4-3 on penalties to reach the semi-finals of the Engro Vopak Football League 2012 here at Jam Stadium in Malir, Karachi yesterday, 25 March 2012.

The 2nd quarter-final of the Engro Vopak League 2012 finished 0-0 at end of normal time, forcing a shoot-out. Both sides missed golden chances to score in 90 minutes.
Azam Sports held their nerve in penalties as Aqeel Khan, Kamran Ali, Saleem Ullah, and Irfan Ullah scored their attempts, while only Mohsin, Waleed, and Faisal could score for Dilbod Mohammadan.

Azam Sports’ Furqan Ullah was given Rs 500 man of the match award by DFA Malir secretary Shahid Taj. Referees were Habib Ullah, Imran Hussain, Naseer Umar, and match commissioner Abdul Karim.

Baloch Youth (Garden) will face National Soccer (Paposh) in final of the Hamara Karachi 7-a-side Football Festival 2012 after winning their respective semi-finals yesterday, 25 March 2012, at NSA Ground in Paposh, Karachi.

Baloch Youth edged past Usmanabad Union 2-1 in 1st semi, while National Soccer seniors beat their juniors with same scoreline in 2nd semi-final. Final will be played on 26 March 2012, as well as the 3rd place game.

Ali Murad gave Usmanabad Union the lead but Talal Ayub and Saramad Jaffar scored for Baloch Youth to record an 2-1 impressive win. National Soccer seniors went 2-0 up through Zareef Khan and Atif Baloch before Sameer Taj reduced the deficit to 2-1 for National Soccer juniors.
