Hassan Bashir becomes only the second Pakistani footballer, after ex-Fulham defender Zesh Rehman’s 2011 season stint at Muangthong United, to join a Thai football club.

He had spent much of his career playing for various clubs in the Danish 2nd Divisions, last being Svebølle, before deciding to try Asian club football.

BBCU FC, one of the prominent Thai sides back in late 1990s, won promotion back to the Thai Premier League by finishing 3rd in the 2011 Thai Division 1 League.

Hassan, who is currently nursing a minor elbow injury sustained last week in Lahore during a Pakistan national team vs Pakistan U19 team practice game, was on trial at BBCU FC and impressed the management to offer him a place in the side.

Details of the deal are yet to be disclosed by the club or player.
