The 9th UBL Omni Karachi United Football League 2011-12 returned to action at Korangi Baloch Stadium (Sharafi) after a brief break with Shazad Mohammadan (Malir) hammering Islah Baloch (Old Golimar) 7-0 yesterday 12 Feb 2012.
The Group ‘A’ fixture saw Shazad Mohammadan completely dominate Islah Baloch from start to finish as they raced to their 3rd win with 10 points, while Islah Baloch remain on 7 points from 6 games.
Muhammad Irani’s 7th minute corner kick beat everyone and found the net to give Shazad Mohammadan the lead. Muhammad Adil then scored twice (12′ and 16′) to take Shazad Mohammadan 3-0 up by then. Substitute striker Muhammad Sohail then scored 30 seconds after the half-time restart to make it 4-0 as the rout continued.
Islah Baloch FC tried to respond but Shazad goalkeeper Naveed Baloch kept out efforts from Mohsin Iqbal, Adil Muhammad, and Sagheer Ghulam as Shazad Mohammadan maintained their lead.
Iqbal Baloch made it 5-0 from a Akhtar Baloch pass in 79th minute, after which substitute M Younas scored twice (81′ and 83′) in quick succession to finish the game 7-0 in favour of Shazad Mohammadan. Referees were Shaukat Ali, Abdul Malik, Babar Khan, and match commissioner Abdul Karim.
On Tuesday, 14 Feb 20120, Kalri Star (Lyari) face Baloch Youth (Garden) at Korangi Baloch Stadium with 4 PM kick-off.
