Reflections win Inter-School final

The All-Karachi Reflections Inter-School Football Tournament 2012 concluded today 26 January 2012 at Reflections School in Korangi Crossing, Karachi. A large crowd of students, families, teachers, and owners of Reflections School attended the final that included a glittering prize distribution ceremony.

Tournament hosts Reflections earned the winners’ trophy after beating The City School – Darakhshan Campus on penalties 5-4 after a goal-less normal time encounter. Reflections had previously beaten City School North Nazimabad 3-1, while City School Darakhshan had beaten Korangi Academy 4-1 on penalties in semi-finals.

In the final, Reflections School had Syed Azhar, Mustafa Adnan, Ashar Sufyan, Hussain, and Muzammil to thank for converting their penalties. For City School Darakhshan, Ahmed Asif, Sameer, Mustafa, and Ibrahim Alam could only convert their penalties as Reflections won 5-4 in the end.

Reflections School principal Qazi M Saleem spoke to the crowd about the importance of holding regular sporting events for students and said that Reflections School takes youth sport seriously. He hoped that U14 events can be regularly held between schools to encourage healthy competition and relief for students. Afterwards the chief guest handed out prizes to the teams.
