National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) returned to Pakistan Premier Football League action with a comprehensive 2-0 win over home side PMC Athletico at the University of Agriculture Ground in Faisalabad today 2 Dec 2011. Two 1st half goals from Muhammad Asif (2′, 41′) proved to be enough for the Bankers against the relegation-threatened PMC Athletico.
The previous day, WAPDA were held 1-1 by Karachi Port Trust (KPT) 1-1 at the Railways Stadium in Garhi Shahue, Lahore. Arif Mehmood gave WAPDA in 54th minute after a scoreless 1st half, but KPT’s Shahid Saleem equalised in 65th minute to share the spoils at the end.
