KUFL results 2-3 December 2011

The 9th Karachi United Football League (2011-12) saw Mauripur Baloch thrash DFA South side Usmanabad Union with a staggering 5-1 scoreline in their group ‘A’ encounter at the Korangi Baloch Stadium Sharafi here on Thursday evening.

The Mauripur Baloch began with confidence as its strikers Sajjad Kaka, Salal Razzak, Majid Rasheed & Adnan Sakhi put the Usmanabad Union defence under immense pleasure from their fast paced attacks. It was not before long Mauripur Baloch went ahead when Salal Razzak scored from Sameer Samad cross in the 14th minutes making it 1-0 which was only goal scored in the first half. In the 22nd minute Abdul Nasir of Usmanabad Union failed to score when Referee Khalid Mumtaz awarded a penalty kick against Mauripur Baloch due to Sameer Jahahangir foul play in own penalty area against the striker babar Ali..

In the second half Mauripur Baloch completely out played Usmanabad Union as they scored 4 more goals . Adnan Sakhi made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute . Nadeem Ahmed netted 3rd goal in 69th minute he received a beautiful pass received from Sameer Jahangir. Adnan Sakhi another goal in the 74 minute when Sajjad Kaka to provide him a golden opportunity in front of goal post. Babar Ali reduced the margin in 75th minute when he converted right side cross from Mohammad Imran. 5th goal of Mauripur Baloch by Sajjad Kaka in 77th minute . Mauripur Baloch 8 points in 4 games while Usmanabad Union get only one point after 5 games.

Host Karachi United FC maintain their fine form in the 9th UBL Omni Karachi Untied Football League (2011-12) as they trounced unbeaten Madina Shabaz Baldia 2-0 to keep 2nd spot in Group “B” with 11 points from 5 games after group leader Korangi Baloch 13 points from 6 games while Baloch Mujahid FC hammered Muslim Star (Korangi) 5-1 in another game played at the lash green field of Baloch Mujahid Stadium Ibrahim Hydri here on Friday evening.

The match began with frantic action as Karachi United FC attacking mentality clearly took Madina Shabaz by surprise in the opening minute. Karachi United took the lead in the 39th min when a penalty kick awarded by National Referee Khalid Mumtaz Jimmy against Madina Shabaz, their defender Akhtar Ali serious foul play in the goal area against KU front runner Athar Qadri. Later on Athar Qadri converted penalty kick himself.

The score line remained the same at half time with Madina Shabaz shaken by a confident and bold opposition.

In the second half, the game opened up even further as a good crowd in the Baloch Mujahid Stadium witnessed an action packed tempo from both sides. But KUFC were looking for the kill in the dying moment (90th min) when star and speedy striker Rehan Munir dodged two Madina Shabaz players and running the ball in the half way line and again dodged the defender and Goal Keeper Nasir Mahmood, not only netted the ball but confirmed 2-0 lead in favour of Karachi United FC. This was the 9th goal of Rehan Munir in the current event. He is also top scorer as yet.

In another game played in Group “B” earlier in the day. Baloch Mujahid good start in the said event, dominated hapless Muslim Star at the Baloch Mujahid Stadium as they easily won 5-1 . Bilal Raza (33rd min), Mohammad Nadeem (37th min) netted in the first half .

In the 2nd half veteran striker Mohammad Hanif splendidly well and scored three goals in a row (72nd, 76th & 80th) complete his first hatrick. This was current event’s 8th hatrick.

KUFC 11 points from 5 games, Madina Shabaz 9 points from 6 games, Baloch Mujahid one point from one game and Muslim Star one point from 7 games.
