Wohaib FC scored five goals, all of them in the second half, to thrash FATA 5-0 in their PPFL 2nd Division match at the Punjab University stadium in Lahore.
Midfielder Naeem Heera scored in the first minute of second period to kick start FATA’s demolition process. Mohammad Shahzad doubled the lead in the 66th minute which was tripled six minutes later by striker Ahmed Faheem. The onslaught continued as Jabbran Bin Salman struck eight minutes from full time while Waqar scored the fifth deep in injury time.
In other matches at same venue in Lahore, Mansab FC Kharan played out a goalless draw against Baloch FC Quetta.
Pakistan Public Works Department (PPWD) won 2-1 against Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) here at the Korangi Baloch football stadium. Muhammad scored twice in first half as PPWD raced to 2-0 lead at half time. Imran pulled one back for SSGC in middle of 2nd half but it wasn’t enough as PPWD held on for a win.
In other game at same venue in Karachi, Ashraf Sugar Mills (ASM) fought hard to beat Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) 2-1, with all 3 goals scored in first half. Muhammad Azeem and Umair Ashraf scored to give ASM 2-0 lead before Tariq Badal scored for GPA just before half time. No more goals were possible in 2nd half as Bahawalpur’s ASM held on for a 2-1 win over strugglers GPA.
