KARACHI: Navy were held to a 1-1 draw by Afghan FC while PAF cruised-past Police 3-0 in their PPFL matches on Wednesday.
Navy-Afghan FC tie, which was played at the Municipal Stadium in Rawalpindi, started off with a bang as striker Haji Ahmed’s goal propelled Afghan FC to 1-0 lead just four minutes into the match
Navy tried to hit back but were denied a goal in the first period. The second-half brought respite for Navy as their marksman Jabbar Hussain leveled the scores on 71 minutes.
Meanwhile, Irfan Ali scored a brace in PAF’s splendid display that will give them three points as the fight to avoid relegation intensified. U16 international Mansoor Khan was the other scorer, netting in injury time.
