Navy awarded walkover, PAF edge past HBL

Two games of the 8th Pakistan Premier Football League 2011 were held yesterday, 13 November 2011, at Municipal Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan Navy received a 3-0 walkover when visitors Pak Elektron Ltd (PEL) from Quetta did not show up at the venue for the game. The walkover increased PEL’s chances of definite relegation to PFF League as they remain on just 8 points from 25 games to stay bottom at 16th. Navy rose to 13th place as they reached 17 points from 20 games as the 3 gifted points helped them rise above relegation zone.

In other game of the day, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) had to thank U16 international star Mansoor Khan for his late 84th min goal against Habib Bank (HBL) from Karachi to snatch a 1-0 win and help them rise above fellow relegation strugglers PMC Athletico to 14th place with 15 points from 20 games. HBL remain in 7th place with 38 points from 25 games.
