NBP edge past PEL 1-0

KARACHI: NBP defeated Pel 1-0 in their Pakistan Premier Football League match in Quetta yesterday. NBP are now placed fourth in the points table with 37, pushing KESC down to fifth. Javaid Hamza scored the winner in the 19th minute while Pel failed to reply despite seven attempts at the goal.

“I think it took us sometime to get used to the conditions in Quetta,” said NBP coach Nasir Ismail. “The pitches over here are rough unlike those in Karachi — they are uneven and devoid of grass. But for now I am satisfied with the team’s performance.”
