The 9th Karachi United Football League 2011-12 saw Madina Shabaz (Baldia Town) face another draw as they were held 0-0 by Baloch Mohammadan (Malir) in their Group ‘B’ fixture at Korangi Baloch Stadium in Sharafi, Karachi.
Despite the scoreless draw, the game was entertaining as both sides showed attacking football but unfortunately could not find the back of the net. Madina Shabaz began strongly with their strikers Hidayat ullah, Asif Khan, Yousaf Kaka, and Naeem Abbas looking to give their side the lead, only for poor finishing and impatience denying them to score despite the chances they created. Akhtar Ali had a chance to score for Madina Shabaz in 26th minute when he managed to beat Baloch Mohammadan goalkeeper Abdul Latif but his shot went the wrong side of the post and out.
In 2nd half, Baloch Mohammadan played much better and created a few chances of their own. Their players Majid Khan, Awais Yaseen, Roshan Aziz, and M Imran came close to scoring but Madina Shabaz goalkeeper Amjad Khan denied them each time. At the end, a scoreline of 0-0 between the two seemed fair. This was Madina Shabaz’s second successive draw in the KUFL season and are now on 2 points from 2 games, while Baloch Mohammadan have 1 point from 1 game.
Referees were Iqrar Hussain, M Tahir, M Usman, and match commissioner Abdul Karim. On Monday (31 Oct 2011), Shazad Mohammadan face Mauripur Baloch at Korangi Baloch Stadium with 4 PM kick off.
