KARACHI: KESC defeated PEL 1-0 in the 8th Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) 2011 in Quetta while Army crushed PMC Athletico 2-0 in Rawalpindi yesterday, 19 Oct 2011.
After a dull first half, KESC’s Mohammad bin Younas broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute with the only goal of the match against PEL at Sadiq Shaheed Stadium, Quetta. Meanwhile, Mubashir Hussain’s brace of goals in the 24th and 44th minute of the game helped Army win their fixture against relegation contenders PMC Athletico Faisalabad at Municipal Stadium, Rawalpindi.
With the latest results, KESC leap-frog KPT to claim fourth spot in the league with 31 points while Pel linger at the bottom with seven points. Meanwhile, PMC Athletico occupy 15th position with seven points, while Army move up to 10th spot with 20 points.
