Karachi United Foundation distribute kits to U14 players

Prominent Karachi-based social and political activist Mr Iftikhar Ali was chief guest as he distributed kits to U14 players of the Karachi United Football Foundation Centres of North Nazimabad and North Karachi in a formal ceremony held at National Soccer Academy Ground in Paposh (North Nazimabad, Karachi).

Iftikhar Ali offered praise to KUFF for their focus in youth development and promotion of football at grassroots level across Karachi, and vowed to give his full support to the cause for helping young aspiring footballers across the city. The guest witnessed an exhibition game between the two KUFF Centres, before meeting both teams at half time.

Also present at the occasion were Karachi United Foundation administrator Riaz Ahmed, KUFF coach Arshad Jamal, Sindh FA congress member and DFA West secretary Rahim Bakhsh, SAF Games gold medalist and DFA Central vice-president Saleem Patni, DFA West vice-president Dr Abdul Hameed Baloch, football organiser Zakir Khan, FC Rovers manager Khalid Majeed et al. The guests praised Karachi United’s steps in promotion of youth football across the city and offered their services to help them expand their development programs to rest of Sindh for the uplift and development of the game.

KUFF Director Imran Ali announced plans to begin a Karachi United Youth League at the end of current month featuring the U14 squads of all 6 Karachi United centres (Clifton, Lyari, North Nazimabad, North Karachi, Malir, and Korangi) alongside the U14 sides of Gulshan Soccer Academy and Baloch Mujahid Football Academy.

The 8 team event will be hosted at NSA Ground Paposh, Jam Stadium Malir, and Baloch Mujahid Stadium (Ibrahim Hyderi) in a single-league format. The winning team will get Rs 15,000 cash prize while runners-up will get Rs 5,000 cash prize, while individual awards will be handed out to best players.
