Karachi Football Round-up

Tanzeem Sports (Gizri) beat defending Karachi League champions Baloch Youth (Garden) 2-1 to qualify for quarter-finals of the All-Karachi Founders of Baloch Mujahid Memorial Cup. Tanzeem Sports both goals were scored by striker M Rizwan while Salam Uddin scored from the spot for Baloch Youth Garden.

The Baloch Mujahid Stadium in Ibrahim Hyderi also saw Malir National beat Al-Shabaz Korangi on penalties 4-2 after a 1-1 draw. Abid Ali scored for Malir National while Younas Rehman scored for Al-Shabaz in normal time. Hunter Sports (Malir) beat Gulshan Ittehad (Korangi) 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw. Ghulam Akbar and M Younas scored for winning side while M Amir and M Ayub scored once each for losing side in normal time. Hyderi Baloch (Lyari) was awarded a 3-0 forfeit win after opponents Nazir Mohammadan (Razzaqabad) failed to show up for match on time.

Referees were Iqrar Hussain, Ijaz Hussain, Saleem Raja, M Kamran, Ch Sarfraz, while match commissioner was Najeeb Baloch. On Monday (24 Oct 2011), Shazad Mohammadan (Malir) face Bilal Friends (Landhi) in quarter-finals.

The All Sindh Balochistan Ada Sher Muhammad Baloch Memorial Tournament saw result of 4 games at Pak Baloch Ground in Garden West, Karachi.

Gharib Nawaz (Dalmia) beat Hyderi Baloch (Lyari) 5-3 on penalties after a tense 0-0 draw in normal time. Askani Brothers (Baldia) also beat Mauripur Greeks on penalties after 1-1 draw, with goals from Bilal (Askani) and Ameen (Mauripur) in normal time. Karachi Football League champions Baloch Youth (Garden) beat Bawan Shah Welfare Centre 2-0 thanks to goals from Aaqib Ayub and Salam Uddin. Qadri Sports (Baldia) beat Sky Sports (Jehangir Road) 2-0 as well with goals from Basit and Shahnawaz.

All winning sides went through to next round. Lyari Star face Khyber Muslim in next match.
