Karachi: The inaugural of the 7th Aga Khan University (AKU) Sports Centre Inter-University Futsal Tournament 2011 was held on Monday, October 03, 2011 at the AKU Sports Centre Futsal Court. Eleven Teams (including two AKU teams) representing Institution’s/Universities across Karachi are participating in the Tournament. The Tournament is being played under flood lights and on league basis and will progress through Quarters, Semi’s and Final.
Chief Guest of the inaugural match Faisal Iqbal, Vice Captain of Pakistan Football Team from NBP, Mr. Riaz Contractor, Chief Organizer & Manager, AKU Sports Centre and Mr. Hanif M. Shariff, Sr. Manager Administrative Services AKU, inaugurated the Tournament. The Teams and the officials were introduced to the Guest who later kicked the ball and officially inaugurated the Tournament.
