The first two quarter-finals of the 7th National Women Championship 2011 being held at Jinnah Stadium PSB in Islamabad were decided yesterday 25 Sept 2011.
In first quarter-final, Karachi’s Diya WFC over came Punjab 3-0 in a one-sided affair to reach the semi-finals. In other game, defending champions Young Rising Star WFC (Rawalpindi) won a closely fought game against fellow favourites and hosts Islamabad 2-0 to reach the semis.
The remaining two quarter-finals will be decided today. WAPDA face HEC while Balochistan United tackle Sports Sciences to decide which two teams join Diya and YRS in the semi-finals.
