HBL hammer lowly PEL 9-1 in PPL 2011

The Peoples Football Stadium on Mauripur Road, Lyari Town in Karachi witnessed one of the heaviest defeats in Pakistan Premier Football League history as Habib Bank Limited (HBL) hammered PEL FC (Pak Hazara FC, Quetta) an astounding 9-1 today on Saturday 17 Sept 2011 during the 8th Pakistan Premier League 2011 season.

Khayal Muhammad scored twice (11′, 68′), M. Atif scored a hat-trick (25′, 48′, 51′), Ghazanfar Abbas also scored twice (31′, 78′), while Zakir Lashari (59′) and M. Bilal (84′) scored once each as HBL rampaged over PEL in emphatic fashion. PEL’s lone consolation goal was scored by M. Mehdi in 86th minute as a total of 10 goals were scored in the game.

The win helped HBL move up to 4th place with 15 points in 10 games, while PEL remain languishing in 14th spot with just 6 points from 9 games.
