AFC Referees recruiter in Pakistan to assess ref Khurram Shahzad

AFC referees recruiter Saad K.M. al-Fahdi (Kuwait) arrived today in Pakistan at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport in Karachi to monitor the performance of Kohat-born FIFA referee Khurram Shehzad. Mr al-Fahdi was received at the airport by Sindh FA General Secretary Jan Muhammad Baloch, journalist Riaz Ahmed, and other football officials from Karachi’s DFAs.

The Pakistan Football Referees Association (PFRA) chairman Qazi Muhammad Asif had formally nominated Khurram Shehzad to join Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Elite Referees Panel as being one of Pakistan’s finest football referees, and as a result Saad al-Fahdi is now here to better assess and analyse Khurram’s fitness, competency, and capability in order to join the Elite Referee panel.

Saad al-Fahdi witnessed Khurram Shehzad in action as he was officiating a Pakistan Premier Football League 2011 match between PIA and PEL at Peoples Stadium, Mauripur Road, in Karachi’s Lyari Town and he was also interviewed in detail by Mr al-Fahdi.

Khurram Shehzad has expressed full confidence in his fitness and capabilities as a referee and hoped that he will be given the nod to join the AFC Elite Referees Panel and represent Pakistan with honour and pride.
