Rebellions are the 7th Quarter Finalists
On 28th August Sunday, there was only one match which decided the 7th quarter finalist. Red hot Rebellions beat Young Khans 3-1 to reach the quarter finals of the 6th GSA D-Goal Ramazan Cup 2011 held in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.
Rebellions fresh from a famous win in the Lal Sports tournament in Dalmia started off a little easy and were made to pay soon as Mehdi scored his fourth goal of the tournament. This was followed up by some fluent attacking moves from the Rebellions and soon they were tied thanks to amazing Talent Kamran. He lifted the ball over one player and then slotted home. This player who also features as a regular scorer for Sir Syed University is an exceptional talent and is moving up the ranks in Karachi rapidly. The Country is in need of good players and this player fits the profile. Another great pass from Kamran known as “Kami” made it possible for Wali to score and make it 2-1 and finally proud captain Hashim Yasin scored to make the final score 3-1. Hashim’s efforts are a huge reason for this young team to be well recognized across Karachi. Kami is also the featured player.
The tournament now has seven quarter finals and one tie to decide the 8th. Tournament will be off till sunday but a profile of the remaining team will be presented in the coming week. The last 2nd round fixture to be player after Eid is between Old Fighters and Majid Shaheed.
