On 8th August Monday, FC Rizvia and FC Rovers came through to the 2nd round by winning there contests in contrasting styles.
FC Rizvia won by the score of 2-1 against Greens United. FC Rizvia dominated the 1st half with slick passing and Asad Ullah, an up and coming midfielder of IBA University drilled home the opener for FC Rizvia. In the second half Ayoun Haq rallied his troops and Kami Farooq struck the equalizer. The score stayed at 1-1 for only two minutes before Asad Ullah struck again and then despite consistent pressure FC Rizvia came through as Greens United missed a penalty in the 2nd half.
In the second game FC Rovers Hammered GUFC Blue by a whopping score of 11-1. It was not a good day for the unlucky GUFC side as Irfan Junejo, a well known star in Karachi Club level struck an amazing five goals. If that was by any means not enough Osama Noor and Tehseen Ghaffar of FC Rovers also had a brace each. Faraz Tanoli struck the only goal for GUFC Blue. FC Rovers have sent out the early warning of intention.
