The 8th AFC Legal Committee was held on 28th July, 2011 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, The Chairman of AFC Legal Committee Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat presided over the meeting and the following members attended the meeting. Ms. Moya Dodd, Australia, Mr. Robert Torres, Guam, Mr. Thilinia Panditarantne, Sri Lanka and Mr. Issa Saleh Al Hawsani, UAE.
According to the press release issued here by PFF, the appointment of chairman Legal Committee is a unique honor for the Pakistani football family which reflects trust reposed in the leadership of Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat.
The committee in its recent meeting deliberated various legal matter pertaining to AFC and its member associations. The committee discussed matters regarding disputes existing in associations of Brunei Dar Ussalam, Indonesian Football Association, Iraq Football Association and Thailand Football Association and recommended appropriate measures to the Acting President AFC, Mr. Zhang Jalong for their resolutions.
The committee reviewed various articles of AFC statutes and AFC disciplinary code and gave its recommendations for their implementation. The committee also discussed the need for the establishment of AFC Ethics Committe
