Brother of President DFA Malir gunned down in Karachi

President of Karachi DFA Malir and Vice President of Sindh FA, Fateh Muhammad Baloch joined the hundreds of mourners who fell victim to the sudden spike of target killings across Karachi when his younger brother and former Baloch Mohammadan FC goalkeeper Zahid Ali Baloch was shot dead by unidentified people.

Zahid Ali Baloch was lured outside of his home by the alleged killers and taken to an unknown place where he was shot dead. His body was later found near Jam Stadium Malir with bullet wounds to his face and chest. Zahid Ali was number 6 in a total of 7 brothers and leaves behind a widow and a son as mourners. His funeral prayers were held at Government School Jam Murad Ali, Malir and he was subsequently buried in a nearby graveyard.

Many football personalites and officials from across Karachi attended Zahid Ali Baloch’s funeral prayers and offered their condolences to DFA Malir President Fateh Muhammad Baloch and condemned the continued target killings across Karachi that had already led to the murder of former KPT footballer Ismail Baba barely a few months back.

Among those in attendance were Sindh provincial minister Sajid Jokhio, Sindh Chief Minister’s advisor Abdullah Murad, Sindh FA secretary Jan Muhammad Baloch, President DFA South Gulab Baloch, Murad Bakhsh, President DFA West Zafar Iqbal, secretary Rahim Bakhsh, vice presidents DFA Central Saleem Patni, M Shamim and Adam Jan, vice presidents DFA East M Rahim and Syed Usman Shah, secretary Ubaidullah Khan, vice president DFA Malir Ustad Haider, secretary Shahid Taj, member Usman Baloch, sports journalist Riaz Ahmed, Khalid Majeed, Master Ghulam Rasool, Abid Raza, Rafique Baloch, Imtiaz Baloch, Saleem Arif, Mumtaz Shah, Adv. Amanullah Yousafzai, as well as players and officials from various Karachi clubs, relatives, and friends of the late Zahid Ali Baloch.

Sindh FA president Khadim Ali Shah, PFF executive member Ali Bahar Brohi, Sindh FA vice presidents M Iqbal, Mir Yaqoob Ali Shah, and Azam Khan also offered their condolences and prayers to Fateh Muhammad Baloch for the cold blooded murder of his brother.
