Afghan FC duo suspended for six games

KARACHI: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) suspended Afghan FC’s two players and officials for violating discipline during their match of the Pakistan Premier Football League against Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in Quetta last week.

When the match between PAF and Afghan FC last week ended in a 1-1 draw, some of the Afghan FC players, along with the fans, attacked the PAF players and assistant referee Nasir Ahmed.

The PFF took serious notice of the issue and suspended players Ahmed Shah and Dr Mohammad Ali for six matches each besides imposing Rs 20,000 fine on each of them. Their team manager Adam Khan and coordinator Abdul Malik were also suspended for two matches.

The chairman of the Quetta Football Association Mohammad Jan Marri was slapped with a fine of Rs15,000 for failing to provide security to the teams during the match.
