The All-Karachi Engro Vopak Invitational Football Cup is scheduled to begin from 26 June at Baloch Mujahid Stadium in Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi. Organised by FC Rovers (Malir) and with permission from Karachi DFA Malir, the knock-out tournament will witness 16 teams battle it out in a knock-out style competition sponsored by Engro Vopak Ltd.
Veteran journalist Riaz Ahmed has been named tournament chief organising secretary, and he stated that each day 2 matches will take place; first one at 4 PM and second one at 5:30 PM. Fateh Muhammad Baloch, Vice President of Sindh FA and President of DFA Malir, has been named as chairman of the Engro Vopak Cup organising committee.
The tournament is scheduled to be opened by Shehzad Pervaiz Bhatti, Director of Sindh Sports Board. Also joining the opening of the event will be the presidents and secretaries of each of the 5 Karachi district zonal FAs, CDGK officials, Engro Vopak officials, Sindh FA members, and other football personalties from across Karachi.
