‘’While accepting the leadership of the DFA Dadu, I affirm that every year not only will I guarantee the All-Sindh football tournament be held in Dadu but I will put in extra efforts for the local football development here, and say that the district government Dadu will also provide all support for the promotion of football in the area’’, These were the words of ICC award winning Pervaiz Ahmad Chandio, EDO finance and Secretary Dadu Cricket association at the award ceremony of the All-Sindh Shaheed Benazir Bhutto football tournament which was organized by the DFA Dadu in association with District Government Dadu.
The ceremony was held at the Government Degree College ground, Dadu and a large number of spectators were present at the event. The Chief Guest thanked the organizing committee and senior journalist Riaz Ahmed, who had come from Karachi to the event, Master Rayasat Ali(Nawabshah), Abdul Majeed Jamali(Jacobabad), and the referees for becoming a part of the event. Other guests present at the event included DO(roads) Dadu, Maula Baksh Mastoi, DO(sports) Khalid Hussien Ghillu, President DFA Dadu, Ali Haider Jamali, Secretary DFA Gulzar Ahmad Barhghari, National Football Organizer Master Riasat Ali, Sports Journalist Riaz Ahmed, Young Azad Karachi’s Abdur Razzaq, Lala Arshad Iqbal amongst other guests.
In the final game, Al-Shabaz Club Nawabshah defeated host Makhdoom Bilawal Shaheed Football Club Dadu 6-5 on a penalty shoot out. Match remained 1-1 at full time.
Al-Shahbaz’ Naseer Ahmed had scored at 54’ after host Club Bilawal Shaheed FC’s Abdul Wahid had put his side into the lead at 20’.
16 penalty kicks were taken Al-Shabaz converted 6 while Shaheed Bilawal Club converted 5.
Player of the Tournament was Naseer Ahmed (4 goals) Nawabshah, Mohammad Naeed (Bilawal Shaheed FC) was Man of the Final while host Club Goal keeper Nadeem Khosa was declared Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.
Referees were Shoukat Gotai, Niaz Baloch and Saeed Baloch while Eid Mohammad Jamali (Jacobabad) was Match Commissioner.
