Abdul Sattar Benefit Cup Nawabshah begins 10 July

DFA Nawabshah (Shaheed Benazirabad) has given its backing to the Abdul Sattar Baloch Benefit Football Tournament that begins on 10 July at Police Ground, Nawabshah. The top 8 teams from Nawabshah will play in 2 groups of 4 teams each with top 2 from each group going through to semi-finals.

Nawabshah district champions Al-Shabaz, Pak Sports, King Baloch, Moment FC, Shaheen FC, New Al-Shabaz, Adil Sports, and Aslam Azad FC will take part in the tournament. Pak Sports will face Shaheen FC in opening fixture.

According to the tournament organising secretary Master Riasat Ali, the tournament is being organised for the benefit of Mr Abdul Sattar Baloch who lost his left hand in an unfortunate machine accident while working in a cotton factory back in 1986.

The tournament will be inaugurated by DFA Khairpur’s president Hassan Raza Araein as chief guest with DFA Nawabshah officials Yaqoob Baloch (President), Muhammad Baloch (secretary), PFF member Ali Bahar Brohi, Sindh FA vice president Mir Yaqoob Ali Shah, Imdad Shah, Syed Usman Shah, Mehmood Ali Brohi (PML-N), Eid Muhammad Jamali (vice president DFA Khairpur), Aga Haroon (secretary DFA Sukkur), and sports journalist Riaz Ahmed being present at the occasion.
