On loan from WAPDA for a 2 month period, Naveed Akram’s and Mahmood Ali’s début game for Saraswoti Youth Club (SYC) ended in a 0-2 loss at the hands of Brigade Boys Club (BBC) at the Dasarath Rangsala Stadium in the 2010 Nepal Martyr’s Memorial Red Bull A-Division League earlier on Saturday, 21 May 2011.

Sunil Bishwakarma provided the very first goal to BBC in this season in the 56th minute making use of free kick. Shortly, Prem Lama put in another goal in the 70th minute with his clinical finish to the Deviman’s cross to seal 2-0 victory over SYC.

Saraswoti took the field confident with their Pakistani imports boosting their defence and midfield, but rivals Brigade Boys were up for the challenge as they pressed on from the start. Missed chances by both sides, most notably by BBC, meant that the score remained 0-0 at half time.

In 2nd half, BBC maintained their pressure and got two deserving goals. Saraswoti responded with a few chances of their own, as Mahmood was unlucky narrowly missed two very good chances in last 15 minutes. The result leaves SYC still in the relegation bottom-4 after 5 games played with just 1 point. Only the top 8 sides in the Red Bull A-Division can qualify to the Nepal National League phase.
