Governor Sindh announces Rs 5 million grant to Karachi Zone South

Zonal FA Karachi South will be receiving a large Rs 5 million grant on behalf of Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan. This was stated by Zone South chairman Gulab Baloch, secretary Jan Muhammad et al. in great mood on the completition of the Rangers Cup football tournament that was won by Khyber Muslim (Baldia Town) after beating Nawab XI (Lyari) in the final

The Zone South officials expressed their happiness of Sindh Government’s grant, and stated that such financial rewards and competitions like Rangers Cup will go a long way in helping promote the game of football across the region, and giving players hefty cash incentives to play at their best will make the game blossom like never before.

In the Rangers Cup final, Khyber Muslim was rewarded with Rs 500,000 while Nawab XI received Rs 300,000, while senior footballers received Rs 50,000 cash rewards each from Sindh Rangers. Secretary Zone South, Jan Muhammad, thanked Sindh Rangers for their immense help and hoped that further editions of Rangers Cup tournaments will be held on regular basis to reward the football talent of the city of Karachi.
