Former International Wazeer becomes DFA Rawalpindi Secretary

Lahore, 15 April:   Raja Muhammad Ishtiaq and Muhammad Wazeer have been elected as President and General Secretary of Rawalpindi District Football Association respectively for the term 2011-15

Wazeer, former International player, said that Rawalpindi, well known for producing star goal keepers Jamshed Rana, Mateen Akhtar, Muhammad Younis etc is full of talented footballers but there was no protected platform was designed for them to keep their future bright by prenious RDFAs. The majority of footballers erupted from Rawalpindi but they came into the limelight due to their own uphill struggle and dedication. I will try myself best, alongwith Raja Ishtiaq, to give firm podium to Rawalpindi football.

Mianwali-born Wazeer used to play for Zamindar FC and Pakistan Railways in the past and he urged RDFA clubs to support him with both hands in the larger interest of the game as it is one of the international footballers bodies of the country.
