The 6th All-Karachi Ada Sher Muhammad Memorial Football Tournament began at Pak Baloch FC Ground in Garden West, Karachi on 24 April 2011. The tournament was inaugurated by Aijaz Baloch, the Managing Director of A.I. Mineral Water, and he praised the steps taken for promoting football across the city.
The chief guest also donated Rs 5,000 to the tournament organising committee. Also present at the occasion were Secretary Zone West Rahim Bakhsh, Vice Chairman Dr Abdul Hameed, journalist Riaz Ahmed, ex-international Abdul Majeed Laasi, A.S. Baloch, Faheem Baloch, Khalid Majeed, Zafar Majeed et al.
The first game saw Zone South’s Usmanabad Union hammer past Zone West’s Golimar Azad 7-0 to go through to next round. Majid Hussain scored twice while Shahzeb, Tariq Akbar, Imran, Sohail Khan scored once each. Referee was Hafeez Ahmed.
On Tuesday, Young Baloch (Lyari) face Noorani Sports (Old Golimar).
