PFF announces LOC for Pakistan-Palestine game in Lahore

20 February: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)’s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has approved Local Organization Committee (LOC) for Lahore Football Test to be played between Pakistan and Palestine on 1 March at Punjab Stadium, Ferozpur Road.

Punjab Higher Education Secretary Haseeb Athar will act as LOC Chairman while Arshad Khan Lodhi, Salman Ejaz, Lt.Col ® Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi and Muhammad Rana Tahir will act as Vice Chairman. Wing Comm ® Pervaiz Saeed Mir designated as Organizing Secretary. Members in LOC are Lt.Col ® Farasat Ali Shah, Sardar Naveed Haider Khan, Nadia Naqvi, Siddiq Sheikh, Agha Latif, Agha Noor Ahmed Shah, Tanveer Zia Butt, Ghous Ullah, Qamar Yar Khan, Khalid Mehmood, Rana Ibrar Anwar.

PFF also announced eleven Sub-Committees to tackle the historical clash in befitting manner. Gold Medallist manager of Pakistan U23 team in Colombo SA Games in 2006, Irfan Khan Niazi will head Reception & Protocol Committee while other ten Sub Committes will be made up of Transport and Accommodation, Purchase and Finance, Ground and Training Venue, Event Management & Marketing, Security, Accreditation, Media/Publicity, Medical, Entertainment/Seating Plan plus PFF Secretariat Committee for home internationals.

“All concerned PFF cells and individuals from various cities are requested to put their efforts with hardworking and imbibed with the zeal to serve the nation during coming two internationals (vs Palestine 1 March, vs Malaysia U21, 9 March) at Lahore in a beffiting manner for the uplift of soccer in the country and sports promotion Pakistan,” said Faisal who is also AFC Executive Committee Member, FIFA and World Disciplinary Committee member and Chairman AFC Disciplinary Committee.
