St. Patrick’s High School and defending champions Lyceum School qualified for the semi-finals of the 6th Karachi United School Championship after beating their respective quarter-final opponents Nixor College and Beaconhouse Gulshan.
St. Patrick’s goalkeeper Waqar Sattar was the hero as he helped his side beat Nixor College 4-3 on penalties after a 0-0 score at end of normal time. Taha Rehman scored a hat-trick while Abdullah Ali and Mizyal (2) also scored for Lyceum as they easily beat Beaconhouse Gulshan 7-0 in other quarter final. Both games were played at Baloch Mujahid Stadium in Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi.
The winning sides join Karachi Grammar School and Southshore School in the semis, scheduled to be played on 20-21 January 2011, while final will be on 23 January 2011.
