PFF-KESC Lyari Football League 2011: Kalakot, Singolane earn wins : Quarter-finals tomorrow

Lahore, 19 Jan:  Kalakot thrashed Agra Taj 4-0 in Group C as two more league matches decided in the PFF-KESC Lyari Football League 2011 at Kalakot’s Shaheed Abdul Rehman Park, Lyari Town, Karachi.The quarter finals are slated to run from 20-21 January. On Thursday,
Nawalane will face Bihar while Singolane collide with Daryabad. On Friday, Lyari Town locks horns with Hub while Kalakot – Baghdadi clash will wrap up quarter final stage.

Agra Taj finished Group-C with only a point when they lost 0-4 to Kalakot. Asif Nawaz and Abdul Aziz earned brace in the thumping win. Asif struck the net in the 7th and 24th minute. The winners led 3-0 at interval and Aziz fired the goals in the 26th and 44th minute. The Man of the Match for the one-sided affair was Asif Nawaz who received the award from former NBP intenational and coach Muhammad Abbas ( Baghdad Sports).
 
Earlier, Singolane got rid of Baghdadi in Group-B with tense, absorbing 3-2 scoreline. Singholane hero was Nauman Noor who struck twice in the tight finish to get Man of the Match Shield from former Victoria Sporting and Dacca Muhammad player Khamis Boosa ( Saifi Sports). Nauman struck the net in the 8th and 18th mnute but Baghdadi reduced both the goals in the 10th and 32nd minute through Kram Hussain and Zubair respectively. It was 2-2 at interval and winger Idrees Rehman snatched winner for Singlane with 46th minute goal. The matches were supervised by Abdul Aziz, Abdul Karim, Dad Rehman,

Ansar Javed, Farid Ahmed, Ansar Javed, Shahid Ismail, Jalal Ahmed under Match Commissioner Yaqoob Baloch.

Thursday (20 Jan) Fixture: First Quarter-Final – Nawalane v  Bihar (2 PM), 2nd Quarter Final – Singolane v Daryabad ( 4 PM). Both matches at Abdul Rehman Park.
