PFF-KESC Lyari Football League 2011: Baghdadi overcame Winder 3-0

Lahore, 15 Jan:   Baghdadi outclassed Winder 3-0 in Group B of  PFF-KESC Lyari Football League 2011 at Kalakot’s Shaheed Abdul Rehman Park, Lyari Town, Karachi. After completion of four matches in Group-B, Baghdadi earned six points to enter quarter finals. Singolane made four, while Kalri one and Winder zero Baghdadi led 2-0 at breather with striker Majid Khan opening score in the 11th minute while winger Zeeshan Ali scoring other in the final seconds of first session. The second half saw Man of the Match midfielder Kamran Hussain rounded off the tally in the 46th minute. The match was supervised by Shahid Ismail under Match Commissioner Yaqoob Baloch. The assistants were Muhammad Jalal, Farid Ahmed and Muhammad Yasin. 

Earlier, in Group-A, Hub’s striker Nisar Ahmed struck hat-trick in 6-0 win over Nayabad. He was voted also Player of the match getting prize from PIA’s former striker Naushad Baloch, now in coaching staff of the organization. Nisar recorded his goals in the  4th, 31st, 38th minute while winger Inayat Ullah fired twice in the  56th and 70th minute. Other scorer was Liaquat Ali in the 8th minute. It was sixth hat trick of the event. Asif Nawaz ( Kalakot) was the first one on 8 January against Daryabad, followed by Zameer Ahmed three-goal spell for Rangiwara against Nayabad next day. Two hat tricks were netted on 10 January for Bihar Colony against Khada with heroes being Sarfraz and Amjad Hussain. Iddris Rehman (Singolane) was the fifth in line versus Winder Gadani on 11 January. Nayabad eliminated after second straight defeat.  Hub and Nawalane led the table in Group-A with 4 points, followed by Rangiwara 3 points.  

Sunday (16 Jan): Khada v Bela (12.30 PM), Rangiwara v Hub (2.30 PM), Kalri v Winder (4 PM). All matches at Abdul Rehman Park.
