The 6th KUSC 2010-11 saw Nixor College and Beaconhouse Jubilee qualify for quarter-finals of the competition after winning their respective group games at Baloch Mujahid Stadium in Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi. In Group ‘D’, Nixor College overcame The City School PAF 2-1 after a tough contest while in Group ‘C’, Beaconhouse Jubilee beat Foundation Public School 2-0.
Ahmed Ali Shah scored a brace for Nixor College in 29th and 47th minute against City School PAF as they qualified for quarterfinals. Organising secretary Riaz Ahmed declared Ahmed Ali Shah as man of the match for his outstanding display. This was Nixor College’s second consecutive win in their group. Beaconhouse Jubilee had to thank Hassan Ghaffar (14th min) and man of the match Zain Ali (21st min) for their 1st half long range goals to beat Foundation Public School 2-0.
Referees were Babar Khan, Farrukh Riaz, Ch. Sarfraz, and Riaz Baloch while match commissioner was Abdul Karim (Member Central Zone). Nixor College will face Southshore School (1:30 PM kick off) on 5th January.
