KFL 2010-11: Sindh Balochistan earn second win of campaign

Sindh Balochistan (Gulshan-e-Iqbal) earned their second win of the 8th Karachi Football League 2010-11 when they beat Korangi Gymkhana in a 5-2 thriller at the Baloch Mujahid Stadium in Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi. The Group ‘B’ game saw veteran striker Lal Muhammad Sr. score a hat trick along with a brace from Muhammad Nadeem for Sindh Balochistan as they went to 6 points from 4 games. Hassan Fazal and Muhammad Noman scored for the still point-less Korangi Gymkhana.

Lal Muhammad’s hat-trick was the 6th of the KFL 2010-11 event, and in the process helped him win a man of the match award from KFL organising secretary Riaz Ahmed. Match referees were Adnan Khan, Babar Khan, Farrukh Riaz, and Riaz Baloch, while match commissioner was Muhammad Nadeem. On Friday, Korangi Gymkhana face Gulshan-e-Ittehad at 3:30 PM.

Lal Muhammad Sr. scored twice in 18th and 27th minutes to help Sindh Balochistan race into a 2-0 lead at half time. In second half, Korangi Gymkhana’s substitute striker Muhammad Nauman reduced the deficit in 51st minute but in 59th minute former youth international striker Muhammad Nadeem made it 3-1 for Sindh Balochistan. Another Korangi Gymkhana substitute striker Hassan Fazal made it 3-2 in 70th minute to keep Sindh Balochistan on their toes. But in 84th minute Lal Muhammad Sr. completed his hat trick from the penalty spot while in dying seconds of the game Muhammad Nadeem made it 5-2 for Sindh Balochistan.
