Former KFL champions Shazad Mohammadan (Malir) came from 0-2 down to beat Sindh Balochistan 4-2 thanks to inspirational performance of captain Sohail Baloch at Baloch Mujahid Stadium in Ibrahim Hyderi in their Group ‘B’ clash on Friday (21.01.2011) in 8th Karachi Football League 2010-11. Shazad Mohammedan 9 points from 5 games (4th position) while Sindh Balochistan are on 9 points from 6 games (5th position).
Nadir Ali (16′) and Ehsan Ali (22′) gave Sindh Balochistan an early 2-0 lead in 1st half as Shazad Mohammadan found themselves struggling to establish themselves from the start. But captain Sohail Baloch (30′) and Muhammad Baloch (32′) struck twice in quick succession to tie the scores 2-2 at half time. In second half, Sohail Baloch scored his second to give Shazad Muhammadan a narrow 3-2 lead in 73rd minute, which Akhtar Ali consolidated with a goal in 88th minute to give the Malir side an emphatic 4-2 victory. Referees were Adnan Khan, Babar Khan, Imam Bakhsh, etc while match commissioner was Abdul Karim (Member Central Zone).
On Saturday (22.01.2011), Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground, Garden West will host two games including Shazad Muhammadan vs Kalri Star (1:30 PM) and Aga Khan Gymkhana vs Al-Shabaz Korangi.
