Karachi Football League defending champions Chanesar Blue beat FC Rovers (Malir) 2-0 with a goal in each half to win 3 precious points in their Group ‘A’ fixture of 8th KFL 2010-11 at Baloch Mujahid Stadium, Ibrahim Hyderi.
Chanesar winger Kamal Shah (18′) and striker Fareed Ahmed (53′) scored a goal each for winning side as they outplayed FC Rovers in the game. FC Rovers strike force Irfan Junejo, Sikander Butt, Abdullah, and Salman Shahid missed some good opportunities at the end that could have brought their side back in contention. Referees were Adnan Khan, Babar Khan, Farrukh Riaz while Abdul Karim (Member Central Zone) was match commissioner.
The results leave Chanesar Blue in 2nd place behind Group ‘A’ leaders Young Ansari with 11 points from 6 games, while FC Rovers remain in 6th place with 7 points from as many games.
On Thursday (27.01.2011) four games will take place. Baloch Mujahid Stadium will host the Chanesar Blue vs Burma Mohammadan (3 PM) and Gulshan-e-Ittehad vs Sindh Balochistan fixtures (5 PM). Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground, Garden West will host the Baloch Youth Garden vs Shabaz Green clash (1:30 PM) and Aga Khan Gymkhana host National Afridi (3:30 PM).
