8th Karachi Football League 2010-11 venue hosts Baloch Mujahid easily overcame Malir Union 3-0 in their Group ‘A’ clash held yesterday 29.01.2011 at Baloch Mujahid Stadium in Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi. Pacy winger Muhammad Rizwan scored twice for the hosts and earned himself man of the match award from KFL organising secretary Riaz Ahmed for his superb display. Muhammad Nadeem scored one for winning side as well as Baloch Mujahid gained three precious points.
The one sided contest saw Malir Union unable to withstand the Baloch Mujahid onslaught as they eventually conceded in 44th minute when Muhammad Rizwan gave Baloch Mujahid a 1-0 lead just before half time. In second half, the hosts continued the pressure on Malir Union as they scored a two further goals. In 65th minute, Muhammad Rizwan made it 2-0 for Baloch Mujahid, while Muhammad Nadeem made it 3-0 in 75th minute as he scored off a superb cross from right wing. Baloch Mujahid held on for a comfortable 3-0 win.
Referees were Babar Khan, Farrukh Riaz, Riaz Baloch and Ch. Sarfraz, while match commissioner was Abdul Karim (Member Central Zone). The result left both teams on 6 matches each with Baloch Mujahid in 4th place with 13 points while Malir Union are 8th with 6 points. On Monday 31 January 2011, defending champs Chanesar Blue face Orangi Mohammadan while FC Rovers (Malir) face Burma Mohammadan.
